Crop Circles 2012…the usual suspects

The crop circle season of 2012 is just about to end, and I am as perplexed as ever.  I just cannot get a handle on whether they are man-made or of extraterrestrial design.  And, although I tend to believe they are not made by extraterrestrials they do seem too complex and intellectually stimulating to have been of human origin. Could it be that I am over looking something? Is there another culprit besides extraterrestrials and drunkards? Other suspects do come to mind like secret institutions or any number of countries that are militarily powerful and technologically advanced.
I guess the question that begs asking is who are the countries and institutions that are duplicitous enough to fool a boat load of people. In my opinion, that leaves us with the following countries/institutions: USA, China, Russia, Great Britain, France and on and on and… Let us not forget about any number of cloak and dagger institutions like the illuminati, free-masons, and dare I say the Vatican?  And what about cabalistic power elites or NGOs? Meh…it would be too easy for me to lay blame on any of them because they would be too obvious…right?  Here is the think, I do not know the who or the why, but I refuse to believe that two chaps at the corner pub, who after a long day farming their fields and drinking the dust away, had decided in a moment of brilliance a plan to go into fields and design sacred geometry patterns.  I also find it difficult to believe that extraterrestrials would be hubris enough to think that making pretty pictures in wheat fields actually matters.  I say this with a sarcastic bent because not too long ago I saw a crop circle made in the image of Elvis Presley; enough said. With all the usual suspects in tow the vote for the crop circle manufacturer of the year 2012 is…? Really…I do not know, but what I do know is that these designs were not made with boards and a rope. What about a mechanized laser? That is right Dr. Evil, I said it…a laser beam.
According to Brian Desborough in his book They Cast Shadowcrop circles are entirely secular . He writes, “The swollen nodes of grain stalks are of high moisture content; the high frequency gamma ray beam would cause the moisture in the nodes to convert to super heated steam, swelling and softening the nodal cells and causing the stalks to bend in the direction swept by the beam,” he continues. “Such beams are capable of creating extremely fine detail; the high frequency clicking sound which is emitted from newly formed circles strongly suggests that the beam systems employed in this duplicitous act join Mossbauer beam technology. The soil within the circle would emit radiation and any creature unfortunate enough to be irradiated by the beam would be carbonized.” This sounds plausible to me but it must be noted that others do not share my opinion nor Mr. Desborough’s theory. In fact, for every Brian Desborough there are even more of those who offer a different perspective. And one of those is the much respected and revered crop circle expert Colin Andrews.  Mr. Andrews has written several books on the crop circle phenomena and is convinced that extraterrestrials have produced some of the crop circles. The very british Mr. Andrews has surmised that although other agents could also be responsible for the complex designs some are in fact made by extraterrestrials. In a recent interview with George Noory, of the popular radio show Coast to Coast AM, Andrews admitted that he believes about 20% are of extraterrestrial design. I must say that when I hear Andrews speak on this subject he sure makes a lot of sense. He seems always so well informed and incredibly intuitive. Perhaps it is his snappy, british accent that makes him so credible or the fact that he coined the term “crop circle” some thirty years ago or maybe because he has done research on crop circles for decades that makes me believe that some crop circles are indeed made by extraterrestrials. The facts be told, I find myself easily swayed by anyone who has committed their life to solving this riddle. One theory often sounds only as good as the next.  I do believe, however, that the truth is out there but is probably made up of bits and pieces of all the theories on crop circles put together; like so many ingredients in a loaf of holiday, fruit bread.  Perhaps one day I will find out the truth behind the crop circle phenomena, but I doubt it.  All the extra-special things in life seem to go to only a few lucky people who are always in the right place at the right time; nothing more and nothing less.  Anyway, the truth is too bizarre for we common folk to understand or even pretend to have knowledge of and therefore, it can only be understood by the few who “get it”. The following You Tube clip is an example of one who believes she “gets it” as she explains a recent crop circle discovery. I find humor in this clip but that is only because I am a bit jaded; you decide.
